I was working with my three most dependable models, and the stated theme of the photoshoot was "Charlie's Angels." I suggested that each model also bring an additional look that we could shoot after we finished with the primary concept, and they did. The results of each model's extra look were fantastic!
Of the three extra concepts, the most unique for me was Naomi's. I had no idea that she would bring capes fit for a Hollywood set, as well as (real) swords and a badass pair of high-heeled boots. The resulting photos were great, but I decided they'd be even greater composited onto a background. As a huge fan of Joel Grimes' work, I occasionally shoot images just for this purpose--and I had done so almost a year ago at Duke University. In the end, I was able to piece together a fantastic four-image "Assassin's Creed Tribute" series.
I continue to be amazed with the collaborative process, and I continue to be reminded of the importance of being present for it. How tragic it would have been to have missed-out on the images we created, because I was too focused on the original plan or on whatever my agenda of the day might have been!
This collage contains the before and after--the source photos for one of the "Assassin's Creed Tribute" images, as well as the final production image. Special thanks to you, Naomi, for sharing your unbridled passion and chiseled physique to make these images a reality!
